Sabae Martin is an Indianapolis-based professional bringing a unique blend of legal expertise and educational passion to her current work in the classroom. A summa cum laude graduate of Martin University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood Education and Addictions Counseling, Sabae is now channeling years of experience in legal advocacy toward a career shaping young minds as a substitute teacher with Kelly Education.
Before transitioning to education, Sabae built a distinguished career in the legal field as a Senior Certified Paralegal Case Manager. She holds a Paralegal Certification from the University of North Texas, Dallas Campus, earned in 1995. Sabae has served as Precinct Committee person and State Delegate and supported several Democratic Candidate campaigns.
Beyond her professional roles, Sabae is deeply invested in community service and advocacy. She serves on the boards of the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana, the Butler Tarkington Neighborhood Association, Overdose Lifeline and the Indy Steelers Youth Football organization. She has also served as Economic Development Chair for the NAACP’s Indianapolis Branch #3053, the board of IPSCC and The Martin Center Sickle Cell Initiative board of directors. Her volunteer work as an alumna of James Whitcomb Riley School #43 further reflects her commitment to education, giving her firsthand experience in classroom dynamics even before formally entering the teaching profession.
Combining strong communication skills honed through years of client interviews and legal advocacy with a genuine dedication to community engagement, Sabae is now focused on creating a positive, engaging learning environment for students while continuing her work as a champion for positive change in her community. Sabae is the mother of two accomplished adult children.
