Dr. Maggie Stevens anchors her work and community involvement in opportunities that allow her to directly and indirectly support individuals in achieving their goals. From advising and teaching college students to supporting individuals through community-based programs, Dr. Stevens focuses her work on strengthening our communities by empowering individuals.
Currently, Maggie serves as the President and CEO of Foster Success – an Indiana-based non-profit organization working to hear, empower, and support teens and young adults who have spent time in foster care as they transition into adulthood. In this role, Maggie oversees the day-to-day operations of the organization and works with the Foster Success staff and board to advance this mission through programs, partnerships, and policy work.
Stevens has Bachelor’s degree in psychology (Saint Louis University), a Master’s degree in Human Resource Management (University of Charleston), and a Doctorate in Education (University of Cincinnati). Maggie has served on the state’s Service Commission, Serve Indiana, overseeing AmeriCorps placements across the state, and has been a member of the UWCI Engagement Committee. Most recently she chaired the board of Bethel Park Elementary, an Indianapolis-based charter school focused on social justice and personal identity as tools for learning and is a member of the Governance Committee with the Girl Scouts of Central Indiana.
