Alexandra Rollo

Alexandra is a recent transplant to Indiana, having become a resident of the Hoosier state in August of 2016. In that short time, she has found her place affecting change all over Indiana on behalf of Hoosiers and Americans in general.

While Alexandra may not be in the classroom currently, education is her passion. She has more than twenty years of experience as an educator serving a predominantly international student audience. She has traveled across more than 50 countries and has lived on four continents; she considers the world her community. With her fluency in English and her elementary-level understanding of four other languages, she strives to build relationships in diverse and sometimes initially uncomfortable spaces. Having earned her Masters in Teaching English, her Masters in Business Administration, and her Project Management Professional Certification, professional development plays a constant and significant role in her motivation.

In Indiana specifically, Alexandra is a dedicated member of the incredible Lead Team of Moms Demand Action, an organization determined to end gun violence, working as both an Indianapolis Team Lead and a State Lead. She joined Moms in February of 2018; through Moms, she has made herself known in local and state politics working to influence decision-makers to work for common sense gun legislation, and she works to educate Hoosiers in regard to gun safety. In addition, she volunteers for Marion County through the Election Board as well as Youth Violence Prevention. She is also a State Delegate for the Indiana Democratic Party.

Alexandra is lucky to call two cities home. She was born and raised in San Francisco, and she is proud to have been formed by such a great city. She remains committed to her hometown, working hard to stay informed and to inform others regarding action that can be taken to improve the lives of Californians.
