A native of Indianapolis, IN, Andrea Scott is a graduate of Ben Davis High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Indiana State University. Currently she serves as Community Outreach Director for the Office of Congressman André Carson. Her 18-year career in political and public service has afforded her the opportunity to fulfill her passion of serving and helping others.
In addition to her role with the Congressional Office, Andrea is the Seventh District Chair for the Indiana Democratic Party, a Ward Chair and Precinct Committeewoman. She also was the former Vice-Chair of the Marion County Democratic Party.
Before working for the Congressional Office, she served as the Assistant Clerk to the Indianapolis-Marion County City-County Council and managed several political campaigns. She also contributes to her community by serving on various advisory boards and volunteering at community and charity centers. Her mission continues to be bridging gaps, empowering youth and strengthening families.
