Stephanie Crandall has served as the Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for the City of Fort Wayne since 2013. As a member of the Mayor’s cabinet, she provides strategic counsel on matters related to all levels of government—local, state and federal—to achieve legislative, administrative and community goals benefiting the people of Fort Wayne.
Stephanie moved to Fort Wayne from Washington, D.C., where she worked at the National League of Cities advocating on behalf of cities and towns before Congress and the federal administration. Before that, she was an attorney in public finance in the Indianapolis office of Baker & Daniels LLP (now Faegre Drinker LLP), where she represented local governments in bond transactions and economic development projects.
Stephanie serves on the United Way of Allen County Board chairing its Governance Committee, on the Women’s Fund of Greater Fort Wayne Steering Committee chairing the Economic Security Subcommittee, and as vice chair of the Allen County Bar Association Women’s Law Section. She is a graduate of Leadership Fort Wayne and the Emerging Leaders Program.
Stephanie received her bachelor’s degree from Ohio Northern University, where she continues to serve on the Getty College Council, and her juris doctor from William & Mary Law School. Originally from Monroeville, Pennsylvania, she is a Hoosier by roots and by choice, raising three young sons with her husband.
