Patricia Yount

Patti has worked 15 years for Lochmueller Group Inc., a civil engineering firm. She is an owner, a Senior Associate and Jeffersonville Branch Manager. She works on a wide range of locally and federally funded projects with clients solving their infrastructure problems and assisting in their securing funding for their projects.

Before joining Lochmueller Group, Patti held the position of Director of Governmental Affairs with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development in Indianapolis for 5 years. She served as liaison between the agency and 16 Workforce Investment Boards, working with mayors, county commissioners, community leaders and labor leaders, the state legislature, Governor’s Office, and the U.S. Department of Labor. She was also responsible for maintaining the Common Construction Wage for Indiana, implementing the Workforce Investment Act, and the strategic planning for Workforce Investment Act.

Prior to working for the Indiana Department of Workforce Development, Patti was Deputy Commissioner of Public Policy and Planning for the Indiana Department of Environmental Management in Indianapolis where she was responsible for policy and planning, legislative agenda, media, marketing and communication and point of contact with the business community, legislators, environmental groups, and local elected officials.

Patti was an elementary teacher for 25 years. She was elected to the North Vernon City Council where she served for 11 years and was President of the Council and President of the Utility Board and Board of Works.

She currently serves as one of Indiana’s DNC members, and has also served as 6th Congressional District Democrat Chair which consists of 19 counties. She has served on the Indiana State Democrat Party working on the Budget Committee and Rules Committee. Patti has also been a National Democrat Convention Delegate several times. She has been active in politics since the 1960s supporting candidates and campaigns.
