Millicent is a seasoned media strategist and marketing consultant with over a decade of expertise in guiding influential consumer packaged goods clients such as Procter & Gamble, Hershey’s and Coca Cola just to name a few. Currently, she is in the business of selling beer working as a Media Manager for Molson Coors, overseeing impactful campaigns and brand initiatives that resonate with audiences across the US.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Millicent is dedicated to public service as a Commissioner of the Gary/Chicago International Airport Authority where she holds the position as the board’s Secretary. In this role she has overseen the overhaul of the airport’s website and marketing materials which have helped them to successfully court commercial airlines, expand their air cargo business, increase the number of hangars and the number of leases, and secure state funding to build a fuel pipeline directly to the airport. Most proudly, she has helped to helm the return of the Gary Airshow after seven years which is a major contributor to local and regional economic prosperity.
Millicent is actively engaged in her community, promoting tourism for Miller Beach (Visit Miller Beach), fundraising for the airshow (Friends of the Gary Airshow) and advocating for environmental education (prospective board member for the Dunes Learning Center). Millicent is a high school graduate of the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics, and the Humanities located on Ball State University’s campus in Muncie, IN where she graduated in She is proudly an alumnus of Howard University’s class of 2009 where she received her BBA in Marketing in Washington, DC. She also has her degree in Culinary Management from the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City.
Millicent is a native of Gary, Indiana and resides there currently with her partner, Terrance, their daughter, Elle, her parents, Vernon and Connie Macon, her dog, Kuma, and cat, Sonny.
