Kymberli Roberts is the General Manager of the Hammond Sportsplex and has been involved in the youth sports industry for more than 13 years. In 2018, she founded Hammond’s first travel volleyball club, Velocity 219, after 4 seasons the club has grown into 13 competitive teams that have made National appearances. In 2020, she became the Club Director of Hammond’s first AAU basketball program, NWI Traditions.
In prior roles Kymberli was a Correctional Officer for the Hammond Police Department with the goal of one day becoming a Police Officer, following in the footsteps of various family members. Since childhood Kymberli has been involved in politics. She has worked on many campaigns through the years. She has been involved in Mayoral, Circuit Court Judge, Congressional and Senate campaigns. Honing her leadership, networking and team building skills, Kymberli worked to get the votes out for candidates in Hammond and Lake County for the Democratic Party.
Kymberli graduated from Indiana University Northwest and earned a BS in Criminal Justice. While at IUN she was a member of the women’s basketball team where she helped the team win two conference championships and three NAIN national appearances. During her senior year she was selected team captain as well as named the NAIA Champions of Character award winner. When Kym completed her studies at IUN she attended Valparaiso University where she earned a MS in Sports Administration,
Kymberli is a lifelong resident of Hammond, married, and mother of three young children.
