Katie Culp is president of KSM Location Advisors, and partner at Katz, Sapper & Miller. Prior to joining KSM Location Advisors in 2015, Katie led Cassidy Turley’s (now Cushman & Wakefield) national Location Advisory and Incentives Practice. She has also led economic development efforts in central Indiana for organizations such as The Indy Partnership/Indy Chamber, Boone County Economic Development Corporation and the city of Indianapolis.
With 20 years of experience in the economic development industry, Katie is adept at coordinating site selection deals and negotiating business incentives for her clients. She has secured $600 million in incentives for businesses ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small, privately owned firms – and has had the opportunity to work on deals in all 48 contiguous states.
Katie is the recipient of a Junior Achievement of Central Indiana’s Best and Brightest Award,
was named a Woman of Influence by the Indianapolis Business Journal, and is an Indianapolis
Business Journal “Forty Under 40” alumna. Katie is also regularly featured as an expert, alongside her business partner, Tim Cook, on Inside INdiana Business’s (i) on Economic Development segment.
While most of Katie’s volunteer activities revolve around her kids’ school and extra-curricular activities, she currently serves as the vice chair of the EmployIndy board. She has held various leadership positions in the following organizations: Zionsville Redevelopment Commission, the Indy Chamber, the Develop Indy Council, the Indiana NAIOP Chapter, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business Women’s MBA Alumni Advisory Board, the Zionsville Boys and Girls Club and the Indiana Economic Development Association.
Katie received her BS in Public Policy and her MBA from Indiana University. Katie and her husband, Joe, reside in Zionsville with their two children, Jameson and Anna.
