Jessica was born, raised and has proudly made her home in Northwest Indiana. Jessica is a servant leader in her community dedicating her time on many boards including Friends of Portage Township Park Foundation, 500 Turkeys, Portage Township YMCA and many more over the years. Jessica served on the Portage Township School Board for six years. In 2019, she began her term as Porter County Clerk where she is currently in her second term. Her and her team recently won a National Clearinghouse Award from the Election Assistance Commission and she was named Clerk of the Year from the Association of Indiana Counties in 2023.
Jessica has her Bachelors of Liberal Arts from Purdue University Northwest and has a Masters of Public Administration and Nonprofit Management from Walden University where she graduated Pi Alpha Alpha. Jessica believes in lifelong learning and has continued her studies, opting to take various courses from the Professional Leadership Academy and AIC Institute for Excellence in County Government. In addition, she was most recently accepted into the CEATS (Certificate in Election Administration, Technology, & Security) program at Ball State University.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys traveling and making memories with her family. She also likes to spend time on the water in her kayak, taking in a sports game, or training to run her next race.
