Hilary Horrey is a passionate advocate for social justice, diversity, and inclusion. With nearly fifteen years of experience in higher education and non-profit sectors, Hilary now serves as the Communications Operations Manager and Co-Chair for the AES PRIDE Network at AES Indiana. Her work allows her to connect with the community and champion diversity and inclusion in the utilities sector.
Inspired by her grandmother’s legacy of political activism and her personal journey as a late-diagnosed autistic, bisexual woman with ADHD, Hilary’s commitment to public service runs deep. She has held various leadership roles, including President of the Board of Directors for the Monroe County Humane Association and member of the Grants Committee for the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana.
Beyond her professional and community service roles, Hilary is dedicated to amplifying and celebrating the work of the remarkable people in her life. She advocates for their causes and supports their endeavors. A lover of good coffee, music, and numerous pop culture fandoms, Hilary finds joy in watching West Wing reruns with her husband and three rescue animals.
As a new member of the Hoosier Women Forward program, Hilary is excited to further her commitment to the pro-choice and LGBTQ+ movements, and to connect with like-minded women who share her passion for making a difference.
