Dawn Moore earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Indiana University, Bloomington. She worked as a big box retail store manager for almost twenty years. Her love for retail operations management inspired her to obtain her Master’s in Business Administration at Indiana Wesleyan University. In order to apply her management skills, she transferred her experience to Trine University as an Assistant Professor of Marketing and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Global Leadership from Indiana Institute of Technology. She went on to use her practical work experience and academic scholarship as a positive integration and influence on students about the importance of entrepreneurship and being civically engaged at Martin University where she served as the Business School Faculty Lead and an Assistant Professor of Business. Currently, she is the Director of Online Programs & Credit at Purdue University Fort Wayne.
Her community involvement has included participating in Advancing Voices of Women (AVOW); Leadership Fort Wayne: Mayor Ethics Committee Fort Wayne, IN and former President of Fort Wayne Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Dawn was a conferee at the 2021 Liberty Fund Summer Institute for Faculty from the Independent Colleges of Indiana. She currently serves as the Co-Chairperson of Social Action Committee (Political Awareness & Involvement) for the Fort Wayne Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and a board member for Educational Communities Worldwide.
