Cara Berg-Raunick is a doctorally-prepared women’s health nurse practitioner and a lifelong advocate for women’s and sexual health. She is the Director of Clinical Quality and Advancement at Health Care Education & Training, a non-profit focused on improving adolescent, reproductive, and sexual health outcomes throughout the Midwest. She also works for Planned Parenthood of Indiana and Kentucky (PPINK) as the Lead Clinician for Special Projects. She teaches regularly in academic and community settings on trauma-informed care, sexual and intimate partner violence, and other women’s and sexual health topics.
In the community, Dr. Berg Raunick serves on the board of directors for the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation. She is also actively involved with the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana, participating in Options Class 16 and serving on the grants committee since 2017. She is proud to serve on the Hoosier Women Forward Alumnae Committee.
In her spare time, she can often be found supporting the students of the North Central High School choir program and their nationally-recognized choir the Counterpoints, which her husband directs.
Originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, Dr. Berg-Raunick earned a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University Bloomington, as well as a master’s and doctorate in nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. In 2013, she and her husband, Mike, moved back to Indianapolis where they now live with their four-year-old daughter.
