Megan Huntzinger currently serves as Executive Director of the Marion County Democratic Party, where she oversees the county party’s overall strategy while supporting local fundraising and organizing efforts. Before joining MCDP, Megan served as Data & Organizing Director for the Indiana Democratic Party for five years, leading a team supporting all ninety-two county parties and hundreds of Democratic campaigns statewide.
A native of Fort Wayne, Megan has been an active participant in Indiana Democratic politics for nearly a decade. Her career began in 2018 as an intern with the Indiana Democratic Party, and she went on to serve as a Regional Field Director on Senator Joe Donnelly’s coordinated campaign. She then joined Planned Parenthood of Illinois, where she led organizing efforts on the 2019 IL-3 congressional primary that helped elect former Congresswoman Marie Newman. From there, she returned to the Indiana Democratic Party in 2020, where she rebuilt the state party’s data department and assembled a team of Regional Organizing Directors to support Democratic organizing across the state. In 2024, she supported the launch of Hoosiers for Harris, generating over 115,000 voter contacts in under two months.
Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Indiana University. She lives in Indianapolis with her husband and their two-year-old son, building their family’s life in the community she has spent her career serving.
