Tawanna graduated from Grand Canyon University in 2022 with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s in Sociology. Tawanna is a group facilitator with Charlie Heath, a virtual health provider that offers a personalized Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for kids, teens, and adults. She is a part-time pre-licensed counselor at Uniquely You Counseling and Wellness Center.
She is married with two adult sons, two bonus adult children, and a precious grandson. Tawanna comes from a very spiritual family that includes Pastors, Deacons, Ushers, and Music Ministry leaders. Prayer and intercessory prayer are essential in her life, and she is a spiritual vessel.
Tawanna is an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. She served 4 years as Eta Upsilon Zeta chapter president and held various leadership roles within the organization. Tawanna’s love of mentoring has led her to serve as an Undergraduate Advisor to the undergraduate chapter Tau Nu at Ball State University. She also completed the Zeta Organizational Leadership program in July 2025, an executive leadership training and certification initiative for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. The program aims to empower members to lead with strategy, vision, and operational insight.
Tawanna’s previous 27-plus-year manufacturing career allowed her to work on a broad scale. She has experience with diverse groups and enjoys working in that setting. Tawanna acknowledges that society places more stress on individuals than ever before. She desires to help people navigate societal stressors and discover their best version. Tawanna is passionate about meeting individuals where they are and helping them reach their individual goals.
