As a dedicated wife and a mother of four, Alicia finds joy in nurturing not only her children but also the many animals she fosters. Alicia’s passion for gardening allows her to cultivate her creativity and love for nature, while her enthusiasm for golf provides a perfect balance of fun and challenge. As an avid reader, Alicia loves to immerse herself in new worlds through books and explore different cultures through travel. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting, using her creativity to create unique pieces that reflect her personality.
With over 25 years of experience in education, Alicia currently specializes in special education, where she strives to make a positive impact on her students’ lives. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, along with Master’s degrees in Administration and Leadership as well as a Master’s in Special Education.
Beyond her teaching career, she actively engages in her community as the chair of the Dyer Democratic Precinct Organization and also chair the fundraising committee for Indiana Youth Group in Northwest Indiana. Her commitment to education, community service, and personal growth shapes who she is and inspires her journey every day.
