Sara Hindi was born in Jordan, but has spent most of her life living in Central Indiana with her parents, three brothers and sister. She has served the refugee community in Indianapolis for 7 years at a local refugee resettlement agency. Sara is now a graduate student at IUPUI pursuing a Masters of Public Affairs and serving as a Graduate Assistant in the Center for Service and Learning, where she works with IUPUI’s Bonner Leader Scholar Program, part of a national network of students who are committed to civic engagement, service and social issue advocacy.
Sara is also a member of IndyHub’s 1828 Leadership Project Class X, is on the Board of Directors for the ACLU of Indiana, volunteers for Women4Change, and is one of the Democratic Precinct Chairs in Hamilton County.
