Michelle Waugh Dahl is a single mother of five children. Dahl is a Korean adoptee and lifelong resident of Franklin. In February 2017, she opened Michelle’s Little Free Pantry, a free food pantry at her home. Over the years, it became increasingly clear that giving people food was just scratching the surface of the many intersectional issues that accompany food insecurity. In doing the work, the ties between the lack of food security, affordable and attainable housing, and transportation, she became more involved and vocal to champion for racial and social justice and equity. Cooking and spending kidless time with her partner, Mike, are how she enjoys spending her free time.
