Maria Norman

Maria is a proud, life-long resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana. She attended Fort Wayne Community Schools and went on to study at DePauw University. Maria also holds a Master’s degree in Public Management from Indiana University Fort Wayne. In April 2017, she was unanimously voted onto the Fort Wayne Community Schools Board of Trustees and elected to the board by the people of Fort Wayne in 2018. Now serving her first full-term, Maria serves as the board’s Vice-President. Immersed into the district’s community, Maria also serves as the current secretary for the Young and Weisser PTA and is a Lunch Buddy with Big Brothers Big Sisters.

An active member in within the Fort Wayne community, Maria is involved with her neighborhood association, her church, and is on the event planning committee for the Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo. In 2018, Maria was named one of Fort Wayne Business Weekly’s Top 40 Under 40. Of her many roles, Maria’s favorite is being mom to her 10-year old son and wife to her husband of 13 years.
