Mackenzie Higgins serves as the Manager of Local and Community Affairs for Elanco. In that role, Mackenzie is responsible for leading local public affairs, stakeholder relations, and local corporate social responsibility (CSR) engagements in the Indianapolis area for Elanco Animal Health.
Previously, Mackenzie was the Director of Governmental Affairs for the Office of the Mayor of Indianapolis Joe Hogsett. During her time in this role, she helped to develop and execute the mayor’s policy agenda with a focus on providing in-depth analysis of social, economic, and public policy trends to lead initiatives aimed at creating economic opportunities for all Marion County families.
Prior to joining the Hogsett administration, she was a high school Spanish teacher at Indianapolis Lighthouse Charter School.
Mackenzie graduated from University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn., and received her MPA from Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs – Bloomington.
