Erin Vahrenkamp is a freelance designer of workplace learning and is currently developing several learning initiatives for a cyber security services organization. She began her career creating multimedia learning solutions at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) and has more than twenty years of experience designing training and performance support for clients across a range of industries.

A resident of Carmel, Erin is passionate about increasing engagement in the Democratic Party in Hamilton County. After working within the Hamilton County Democratic Party to help establish city clubs, Erin is now a founding board member of the newly launched Carmel Democratic Club. Her goals for the club include raising the profile of Democratic leadership in the Republican stronghold of Carmel and promoting local Democratic candidates for elected office.

As a candidate for Clay Township Board in 2018, Erin recognized a need for a stronger candidate support mechanism in Carmel and is hoping to help build that for future candidates. Erin has worked with Action Together: Hamilton County to connect current municipal candidates with mentors, volunteers, and resources to launch their campaigns.

Erin is also a Precinct Chair in Carmel and is a former member of the communications committee for the Hamilton County Democratic Party.

A native of the Chicago suburbs, Erin earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from The George Washington University in Washington DC, graduating summa cum laude. She is the proud mom of two children, Aidan and Alexis. In her spare time, Erin enjoys traveling with her family, musical theater, and reading.
