Emily Gurwitz

A political fundraiser for over a decade, Emily began her career at the Democratic Leadership Council and Progressive Policy Institute in Washington, DC where she worked for three and a half years under CEO Al From, raising both Corporate and Individual national money. After leaving the DLC in 2006, she moved to Chicago to work at AIPAC (The American Israel Public Affairs Committee). At AIPAC, she focused on helping to secure the US-Israel relationship through fundraising in Minnesota, Indiana and Iowa.

Emily left AIPAC in 2008 to move home to Indiana. Most recently, she served as the Finance Director for the Hogsett for Indianapolis Campaign. Prior to Mayor Hogsett’s campaign, she had the honor to work for many Democrats in Indiana. In 2008, she worked for now Congressman Carson’s victorious 2008 special, primary and general elections. In addition, she worked on both the 2010 Evan Bayh and Brad Ellsworth’s Senate races, and then again on Bayh’s 2016 Senate Race. Emily had the honor of working for Senator Joe Donnelly’s 2018 Senate race. In addition to those Federal races, she has raised money for Democrats across Indiana, including Prosecutor Terry Curry, the Indiana House Democratic Caucus, The Indiana Democratic Party, Mayor Tom McDermott and others.
