Andrea Hunley is the proud principal of an Indiana Public School (IPS) magnet school in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. She joined Indianapolis Public Schools as a principal in 2012.
Prior to her career as a building administrator, Principal Hunley taught high school English in one of the largest high schools in the state of Indiana. She also served as an assistant principal in an elementary school on the north side of Indianapolis.
Principal Hunley has an administrator’s license, a Master’s Degree in Language Education, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education from Indiana University. She also holds a license to teach middle and high school English and a license to teach English as a New Language.
Principal Hunley has presented at the district, statewide, national and international levels, and has been published in educational magazines and featured in educational training videos. Public education unlocks the power of learning and the power of children. Principal Hunley is honored to consider it her life’s work.
