All applicants must be at least 25 years of age. Applicants must be able to demonstrate leadership in their places of work or in the community and have a strong commitment or desire to serve the public good.
Some program dates may require class participants to adjust their regular schedules. Class members are required to attend the first and last sessions in full, and may be absent from no more than one of the other class days. Class members are expected to arrive on time and stay until the sessions adjourn. Failure to meet these requirements will jeopardize the class member’s graduation and alumni status. If an applicant has a conflict with one or more dates, that applicant is encouraged to apply the following year.
All sessions will be held in downtown Indianapolis, except the trip to Washington, D.C.
While there is no cost to participate in the program, there is a $25 application fee and selected participants will be responsible for paying for their transportation to and from the program and flying to and from Washington D.C. in April. Scholarships are available for those who need assistance. All scholarship requests are kept confidential. Hotel rooms will be provided for sessions that are two days or more.
